Hi all,
Can you tell me please your thoughts on purchasing these cards. We would like to visit Universal Studios, Warner Bros studio, go on a Movie stars homes and City tour, visit the Kodak theatre and take a trip out to Santa Monica to view the beaches. I am looking at a 3 day card for $129.00USD each person.
These activities are all listed on this card. Or is there a cheaper option. We will have a hire car.
We will be in LA from March 20th and fly out on the 24th. Can you also tell me whether it is better to visit Universal Studios on a Saturday, Sunday or a Monday in terms of crowds and attractions.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Thank you
Belv
Is the Los Angeles Go Cards worth it for a 4 day visit.
Universal should be less crowded on a Monday. The Go card is a good deal if you plan to use enough of the attractions to make it worth it.
If you use it to go to all of the attractions you%26#39;ve listed, then that%26#39;s a savings of about $50 but keep in mind:
1. That you might find other discounts for the Universal tickets (alone).
2. The ';City and Movie Stars Home Tour'; is included as a ';standby'; reservation only which means that others may take your seat since yours isn%26#39;t reserved. You can buy a reserved seat for an extra $5. The other thing to consider is that the bus tour company that GO card uses is ';L.A. Sightseeing'; whose depot is in Santa Monica (the beach area), If your hotel is elsewhere in the metro area (Hollywood, etc), then you%26#39;re better off driving to Santa Monica to catch the tour since it will afford you the ability to spend some time at the beach before or after the tour. (If you have them pick you up at the hotel, you%26#39;ll have a limited time at the beach (and other places) after which time you%26#39;ll be dropped back at your hotel.
3. The Kodak is sometimes unavailable for touring when it is being used for a special event.
4. The GO CARD is only valid on WB Tours departing between 2 and 4 pm -- which means driving back to your hotel in afternoon %26#39;rush hour%26#39; traffic.
(I%26#39;m not sure why you can%26#39;t visit the beach areas on your own since you%26#39;ll have a car).
