Hi
We have three full days in San Francisco prior to driving to Yosemite. Below is a list of all the things we would like to see. Do you have any suggested plans for our three days? And any places for meals while we are travelling around? Also, feel free to say if you think we are cramming too much and what you think we could leave out.
Thanks Julie
Ride the Cable Cars
See Crooked Street 鈥?Lombard Street
See White Houses
Look around Fishermans Wharf/Pier 39 (maybe a meal)
See China town
See Golden Gate Bridge - where is a good place to take a photo
Academy of Science
Old Faithful Geyser - not necessary but thought it might be interesting
San Francisco Maritime Museum
Alcatraz (Day Tour only)
Day trip to Muir Woods and Sausalito
Can you help us plan our 3 day itinerary?
It looks doable, although the geyser would be a day trip. Also, the Old Faithful Geyser near Calistoga isn%26#39;t the ';famous'; Old Faithful, which is in Yellowstone Park several states away.
I believe the Maritime Museum is closed for refurbishing. There are a bunch of old ships nearby in a Maritime Park that are very interesting, though.
Can you help us plan our 3 day itinerary?
See White Houses? I don%26#39;t know what this is referring to, however there are many Victorian style houses here.

Hi!
Do you have children with you? If you do the ships at the wharf will be interesting. Pier 39 is very touristy but he sea lions laying around on the docks are a sight to see.The Academy of Science is great!
Here%26#39;s what I would suggest.
Day one , Check out Union square and walk up to China Town.If your really into walking you can continue walking and see North Beach. I did this walk recently and it wasn%26#39;t very strenous. Once in North beach you can grab a taxi to the Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf area. See the maritime ships. I believe the museum is closed. Grab a crab cocktail, check out the old cannery ( shops) and head over to the cable car turnstile and take the cable car back to Union Square. If your not tired by then you can take any street car down to the Ferry buildng and walk a little along the bay.Pier 39 is rather touristy type of place but the sea lions on the docks are fun to see. Not sure where you would fit this in unless when at the wharf you walk over to check it out.
Day 2: Get up early. Drive out to Crissy field which is in the Presidio. Amazing view of the golden gate bridge. You will also have to take a ferry out to alcatrez so you will have good view there too! If you can fit it in Go to the Academy of Science all morning and skip Crissy Field. Have your tour to Alcatraz in the afternoon. I think you need to buy your tickets in advance. I%26#39;m guesssing you can do this on-line?
Day 3:
Drive to Muir woods and Sausalito.
The crooked street can be seen from the cable car bit it is fun to drive down.
With the trip to Muir woods you don%26#39;t have a lot of time to do everything you listed. I%26#39;d say take your time , pick a few top choices and enjoy!
