Hey guys,
Can anyone give me some advice on what%26#39;s the best way to get to Disneyland from Omni Hotel (Downtown LA) by either train and/or bus? I would like to be at Disney right when it open.
Also I would like to stay there until around 7-9pm, can I still take the train/bus on way back to hotel and how? Is it safe?
Thanks and Happy New Year :)
Omni Hotel (Downtown LA) to Disneyland
I%26#39;d skip the bus: while it is less expensive than the train, it takes a lot longer and it%26#39;s a ';local bus'; that stops a number of times.
Here are the instructions for the train:
a. Either take a 5-minute taxi ride to Union (rail) station ($10 or so) or walk to the ';Civic Center'; red line metro rail station (2 minutes) and take the metro rail ($1.25) , one stop, to Union Station.
b. Take either an Amtrak Train or a metrolink train to Fullerton (about 40 minutes/$8.75 or $11.75 or $18.75 (round trip) -- prices vary based on the day of the week and which train company you select,
c. Take a 10-minute taxi ride to DL ($10) or a bus ($1.25)
Amtrak has more trains running to Fullerton than Metrolink (although they are more expensive). Amtrak also runs LATER in the evening that Metrolink. On the amtrak website (amtrak.com) for your return train, be sure to select %26#39;Evening'; on the ';Time'; drop-down menu rather than the default ';anytime'; since doing so will display THE LATEST TRAINS.
Detailed step-by-step instructions from Union Station to DL can be found in our FAQs section (a link at the top of the TOPIC LIST). Once you%26#39;ve linked to the FAQs, click on AMUSEMENT PARKS and look for public transit instructions for Disneyland.

Omni Hotel (Downtown LA) to Disneyland
Thanks for the help :)
Also is there any public transportation I could use to get from Omni Hotel to Melrose Avenue?
Thanks again
Yes, there%26#39;s public transit to all points in the city. When you say ';Melrose Av';, I assume that you are referring to that portion of Melrose that has boutique shopping, right? It spans from the corner of Melrose %26amp; La Brea Av (the eastern end) to Melrose %26amp; Robertson Bl (the western end). If you go to MTA.NET, you can enter your starting and ending points for such a trip (Omni%26#39;s address as the starting point and the corner of Melrose Av %26amp; whatever cross-street you want, as your ending point).
Next to the place where this info is entered, see examples of how to enter these points.
The easiest way to get to Melrose is to get on the northbound #10 metro bus (marked ';West Hollywood';) at the corner of Hill St %26amp; 2nd Street (adjacent to your hotel). Eventually, this bus turns onto Melrose Av and stays on it.
This isn%26#39;t the fastest way but it%26#39;s the easiest.
