I live in Redding and drive through Redding about once a month on my way to the coast. I always make it a point to get my caffeine fix at Red House. The only other coffee option in town is a Starbucks in the grocery store, not the nicest atmosphere for sure. Red House is local, artsy, has a friendly staff and a fantastic outdoor seating area. It%26#39;s worth a stop if you are staying in Weaverville for a vacation or just driving through.

Wanted to correct this post...... Red House is NOT the only coffee alternative to Star';yucks'; in Weaverville ( I live there, just for my credentials). Mama Llama%26#39;s is right on main street, in the historic section. It is a funky little eclectic spot with music and odd gifts, and great coffee drinks and snacks. It is on the south side of 299 (main street), and I recommend it highly. Also, Trinideli (one short block up Hwy 3 toward Trinity lake on the left) has outstanding brewed coffee and is truly one of the best sandwich deli%26#39;s I have ever been to- anywhere. I grew up in weaverville and the red house is one of the best additions to weaverville. The staff is the friendlist out of all the coffee shops. Mamma lamas is not friendly at all and starbucks is expensive and unpatriotic. red house is your best choice.

Whoa! Steve and Donna who own Mamma Llama%26#39;s on Main Street Weaverville are two of the sweetest, friendliest people imaginable! When were you in there last? Honest! Red House is great too, but gosh, Mamma Llama%26#39;s unfriendly?? I think you haven%26#39;t been in there lately. It changed hands about 3 years ago and Steve and Donna are wonderful and make great coffee and tea drinks!

Red House is fine BUT you are So Wrong about the only other coffee house being Starbucks. Best Coffee House by far IMO is Mama Llamas right on Main street. Great beverages including fantastic coffee plus delicious sandwiches %26amp; FREE INTERNET!. My favorite coffee house in America Bar None!

PS I have never had kinder more friendly hosts than Steve %26amp; Donna.

They do not even get upset at ';freeloaders'; that use the INTERNET connection %26amp;/or restroom without a purchase.

I spend 3 month camping at near by Lewiston Lake each summer plus Thanksgiving each year so frequent this caf茅 several times a week..
