California Adventure - Wine Tasting - Drinking

So we are going back in February and have since been told that you can drink in CA. I have been there 3 times and didn%26#39;t realize this. So there are 13 of us going and we%26#39;d like to try the wine tasting and I remember someone telling me about the margarita%26#39;s to get around the climbing structure or something??? Anyone?

California Adventure - Wine Tasting - Drinking

You can drink anywhere in the USA IF you are OVER 21 years old! I don%26#39;t understand, ';you can drink in California';

California Adventure - Wine Tasting - Drinking

I think the reference is being able to drink in Disney%26#39;s California Adventure Park, as compared to Disneyland, where Disney does not serve liquor (with a couple of minor exceptions).

DCA does have a few places to get alcoholic beverages.

Yes, there is a Wine Tasting Bar next to the ';Blue Sky Disney'; preview center, along the Parade Route near the Tortilla and Sourdough bread tours.

In the Pacific Wharf area, which is where the Factory Tours are is a Margarita Stand and a Beer Truck. The Beer Truck is open daily, usually around Noon, the Margarita Stand is not open on slow weekdays. (Note, the Margarita%26#39;s served use Liquor, not wine, as its source of alcohol). The Beer Truck features a local Micro-brew, Karl Strauss, which I am a big fan of.

In the Paradise Pier area, the upstairs area of the Ariel%26#39;s Grotto Character dining building, there is the Cove Bar, which serves a full bar, along with appetizers. During busy times, the bar is open from Noon to 1 hour prior to closing. In the off-season, the bar is only open on weekends, Friday from 2:30 to 7 PM, and Noon to 8 PM on Saturday and Sundays.

Also, some food locations, such as Pizza Oom Mow Mow and Taste Pilots Grill offer Beer as a drink choice.

Yes Darkbeer that%26#39;s exactly what I meant, instead of California in general. Thanks for the info. Those definately answered the questions I had.

I was doing some research on a great site called CHowhound. they mentioned a beer called red trolley? is this beer along with the karl strauss local breweries??

Darkbeer do you know about Disney tratoria for dining options?

Yes, one of the beers that Karl Strauss brews in Red Trolley.

http://www.karlstrauss.com/

As for Wine Country Tratorria, it is not a bad choice, table service with a menu that features pasta, sandwhiches and salads.

Ok As few were saying they drive to the area just for a red trolley beer. So my dh would love to try one of these.

Darkbeer being a disney expert would you still dine at places like bubba gumps and joes crab shack? or other places that are same prices but better food/atmosphere? ie napa rose in one of the disney hotels etc someone mentioned there is a place called White water snack bar off the pool in the grand california hotel that makes a very good grilled chicken sandwich with gaucamole and fired roasted peppers.. This sounds appealing

Is this red trolley available at the beer store? or target etc?

We don%26#39;t have ';Beer Stores'; in California.

(For those who don%26#39;t know, Toronto (actually the Province of Ontario) has government controlled stores to sell beer. (Both my parents went to the University of Toronto, so know the city well)

In California, anybody can apply for a license to sell Liquor.

As for who caries it, many stores have at least one type of Karl Strauss beer in bottles (Red Trolley and Amber Lager are the two most common versions available in bottles.)

While some Targets do sell Beer and Wine, they have a small selection, and not a place to get Karl Strauss or other speciality beers.

So every place can sell beer/wine at any price they wish to sell it at? Where would a good place to pick up wine and this red trolley beer at good prices in around anaheim?
