badger pass food availability and Valley lunch option

It has been 7 years since I have been to Badger Pass ski area, and we were planning to spend a day there this month. I dont see any listing for any food available on their web site. Is there any sort of a deli or grill area, or do I need to pack a picnic? Also, I know restaurants are limited in the valley during the winter. FOr a decent burger or sandwich, is my best option the food court at the lodge, or is there a less crowded, more scenic option for lunch or breakfast? I did check the Ahwanhee dining room, but burgers at $17 is more than we want to spend for a family of four. Thanks for any tips.

There is a grill type of thing at Badger Pass. I was looking for specific hours but couldn%26#39;t find any. They sell soup, chili, burgers, fries, chips, etc.. Basic lunch fare (that is ok...not great).

The food court at the Lodge is probably the best option for hot lunch or breakfast (or maybe even dinner). There are more specific hours for what%26#39;s available and open on p. 7 of the most recent park newspaper:

If you%26#39;re interested though, Degnans Deli near the visitor center has great gourmet type sandwiches (if a tad expensive...$7ish?). They%26#39;ll make them any time of day, so you could pick some up and eat them later on a walk somewhere. They do also have breakfast sandwiches available.

Also, for lunch/dinner, if you%26#39;re up for lighter fare like sandwiches/wraps/salads/chili/really good soup, check out the Ahwahnee bar. The chili is definitely decent (better than other chili in the park) and the soups are almost always superb. Lower prices, no dress code, still nice atmosphere.

Mountain Room is also tasty for dinner, but may still fall in the too pricey range with dinner entrees ranging from $17ish and up.

Thanks so much for all the great tips

while at badger, also check upstairs in the snowflake room. Last year (haven%26#39;t been this year, going monday!!) they had make your own burritos and pizza. Don%26#39;t know how it is as we pack a lunch, I%26#39;m cheap. I do buy a beer in the snowflake room though.
