We will be staying 3 nights at the homewood suites liberty station. I went to a liberty station website and saw a list of restaurants in the area. Is La Salsa a good choice or could you recommend another?
Is this Miguel%26#39;s corina far from liberty station? As this was recommended on a thread for good mexican food.

La Salsa is a %26#39;healthier style%26#39; Mexican food. Not the typical Mexican food which is frequently heavier and greasier. Los Primos is the more typical style.
Miquel%26#39;s Cocina is fairly close to Liberty Station. It%26#39;s on Scott St. Probably just about a 5 min drive. Across from Point Loma Seafood.

La Salsa is a quick service place, you order at the counter and then your food comes out on a tray. Miguel%26#39;s is an actual restaurant and has a bar. I like both of them but they are very different in atmosphere, food and price. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. If I had to pick one though I would go for Miguel%26#39;s.
Personally, I%26#39;d rather go to Santana%26#39;s on Rosecrans over La Salsa. It%26#39;s probably a 3-4 minute drive from Liberty Station. It%26#39;s also a fast food type place, but a bit more ';authentic'; in terms of SD Mexican fast food vs. La Salsa. Miguel%26#39;s Cocina is great too if you%26#39;re looking for a sit-down meal- the chips with the white sauce are delicious! From what I recall, it does get pretty busy on weekend evenings so you might have to wait a little bit if that%26#39;s when you plan to be there.
Yes we are looking for more of a sit down type restaurant so the la salsa wont be what we are looking for.
few mths after posting this review and looking further into our trip as we are leaving next week. I am reading that miguels cocina is not so good in the food dept but that super cocina is better.
