Fireworks

Now I know the Disney calendar has been a bit messed up lately but there is no fireworks listed on that site at all and I wondered if they stop doing them in Feb or something. I mean we%26#39;ve gone in Feb before and there were fireworks but it%26#39;s not listed on the site so I wondered (since everything else seems to be NOT going my way!)

Fireworks

Current plan by Disney -

Offer Fantasmic! very night from now until mid-April

No Parade will be offered untillate March/early April

Believe Fireworks will only be held very busy Holiday weekends (Basically Martin Luther King, Jr. and Presidents Day)

When the ';Parade'; starts in late March, it won%26#39;t really be a parade, but the Celebration Today Street Party instead.

So sorry, but no fireworks most of February.

Fireworks

Thanks Darkbeer! Wow I%26#39;m in shock. They are REALLY cutting back on stuff. Now to break it to the ENTIRE 13 family members counting on seeing fireworks. Well they%26#39;ll enjoy Fantasmic though.

Funnily enough Fantasmic isn%26#39;t listed on the calendar either.

Hi Darkbeer

These posts about what is not on are really getting scary!! We are there for our first time ever from 26th April to 29th April (Sunday to Tuesday inclusive). Are we likely to see any fireworks, parades or anything at all. These are the main reasons we wanted to go to Disneyland.

Hope you can cheer us up with a bit of good news!

Deb

We will be there for 2 weeks from 15th May, any ideas what will be happening then?

Here is the information Disneyland Cast Members (employees) were just told...

%26gt;%26gt;As The Year of a Million Dreams celebration comes to a close and the Disneyland庐 Resort heads into 2009, entertainment offerings and show times are being updated for the kick-off of ';What will you celebrate?';

Disneyland Park

- A Christmas Fantasy Parade and ';Believe...In Holiday Magic'; Fireworks Spectacular will run through Sunday, Jan. 4 to close out the holiday season.

- Disney%26#39;s Princess Fantasy Faire will have its last showings of the Royal Coronation Ceremony and Disney Princess Storytelling on Sunday, Jan. 4. Disney Princess Meet %26amp; Greet will continue to remain at the Fantasyland Theatre.

- ';Remember...Dreams Come True'; Fireworks Spectacular will return to the skies above Disneyland庐 on Jan. 17-19 (Martin Luther King Jr. weekend) and Feb. 13-16 (President%26#39;s Day weekend). The show is scheduled to make a full return in March 2009.

- Fantasmic! will continue to run daily through most of January and February. See The Hub for up-to-date information and times.

- Walt Disney%26#39;s Parade of Dreams will not return to Disneyland庐 Park after the holidays. There will be no parades at Disneyland庐 Park after the holidays due to track work being done on Main Street, U.S.A.

- Celebrate! A STREET PARTY will make its debut down Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland庐 Park on March 27.

Disney%26#39;s California Adventure Park

- Disney%26#39;s Electrical Parade will have its final run on Sunday, Jan. 4 at Disney%26#39;s California Adventure庐 Park and will not return until June 12 for the summer season.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 5:

- Pixar Play Parade at Disney%26#39;s California Adventure庐 Park will be dark on Mondays and Tuesdays.

- High School Musical 3: Senior Year - Right Here! Right Now! will be dark on Fridays through Sundays.

- Disney%26#39;s Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular will be dark on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

All entertainment offerings are subject to change without notice.%26lt;%26lt;

A couple of comments, the ';Hub'; is an internal website for JUST employees, and not available to the public.

Aladdin will have some changes in scheduled days due to the fact that Disney does rent out the Hyperion Theater to private groups on occasion, this time of year especially due to the very large NAMM convention being held January 15th through the 18th in 2009, plus Dance/Cheer competitions that are held in Anaheim in Janaury through April each year.

As for the return of the fireworks, more than likely mid to late March, depending when Disney sees a lot of advance bookings in regards to Spring/Easter Break season.

Just noticed, looks like a mistake/typo in regards to High School Musical 3...

Based on what Disneyland.com states, and past history, It should state DARK on Mondays through Thursdays. (Performs on the weekends).

Thanks Darkbeer, that information is a great help. Hopfully fireworks again in April!

Deb

We are heading to California tomorrow morning and will be spending the week starting Jan. 4th by Disneyland. We decided that we would go into the park on Jan 4th instead of waiting until the 5th because of the fireworks and also the closing of Haunted Mansion and Small World. I am glad there won%26#39;t be many people so the line ups are small but looks like we are missing out on lots of parades and such.

Disney has sent out a corrected version to CM%26#39;s...

They corrected the High School Musical 3 dates, as I stated, the show will be offered Friday through Sunday, and Dark Monday through Thursday.
