Where the best nightlife in LA....?

Me and 6 of my mates are going over to LA and stayin in hollywoodat the beginning of nect july and want to know where the best places to go out in LA are?

Would be grateful if any of you guys could help?

Where the best nightlife in LA....?

Hollywood and West Hollywood are the biggest nightlife areas, but there is nightlife to be found elsewhere too - Santa Monica, Los Feliz/Silverlake etc.

I suggest when it gets a bit closer to July, you have a look at the calendar section of the LA Weekly web site as this is a really good listing of nightlife around the city.

Where the best nightlife in LA....?

The L.A. Weekly is good for live acts/bands but there club section is pretty much outdated. What kinda nightlife are you looking for?

Hollywood has hundreds of bars/clubs and restaurants you can walk to probably from your hotel

West Hollywood has some fun, more upscale hotelbars/lounges and restaurant plus some fun comedy clubs and live music venues(no danceclubs)

Santa Monica is a fun alternative by the beach with plenty of great bars along either 3rd street promenade or Main Street

Silverlake is more of an alternative scene with coffeeshops, neighbourhood bars and some live music spots

Downtown L.A. has some cool places, especially the new L.A.Live complex that should be worth checking out(and an easy subwayride from Hollywood)

Universal City Walk is always fun and quick to be reached from Hollywood

As for major nightclubs in Hollywood, you need to be on a guestlist to gain entry. Just message me on here the week you come out and I hook you up with some cool spots
