I don%26#39;t know, but I can suggest emailing the General Manager of the hotel and asking that question. Mention the rate that you are hoping for. Sometimes contacting the General Manager of a hotel helps. Also, say something like you chose the hotel because of reviews on TripAdvisor. That signals that you might write a review yourself. If you have stayed at the hotel before, mention that and mention how much you liked it.

Do some reserach first but I might consider trying priceline, I know someome who stays on business and gets great prices these days. Make sure you do your homework, it seems better to choose 3 or 4 star hotels, don%26#39;t try anything lower

Ya know, without my trusty crystal ball, it is really hard to predict. However, very little, with the exception of the price of oil, has gone down. Take care and have a Merry Christmas. Chuck...

Hotwire is similar to Priceline, but allows you to choose the hotel. (Watch out for possible added fees with these websites.)

what price were you looking for? there website says around 129.00 a night that first week of feb. which is already a discount for that hotel.

I seriously doubt that hotel rates around DL will go down, regardless of the economy and/or time of year. I have lived in the area for nearly 40 years and been through several slow economy cycles. Never, ever have I heard of hotel rates going down. Many of these hotels have been there a long time and are working with a long established overhead. Also, the business conference business in Anaheim is still going strong. There is good advice among the previous posts.

I read a half-dozen or so forums and in several of them people are asking this same question.

Other than Las Vegas, it seems the prices are pretty much staying steady. I know they are in my high tourist area, other than the normal seasonal lower rates.

I know people are getting laid off in some professions, and the media keeps telling us 10 times a day we%26#39;re in a terrible economic crisis . . . but folks are still travelling and dining out.

I%26#39;ve noticed hotel rates seem higher than last year. Im keeping an eye on rates for september and at the moment they seem nearly double for september 2009 than when i was looking this year in september, esp the Menage Hotel which im hoping to book. Prices for sep 2008 were about $70-$80pn now its coming out at about $150 pn for sep 2009

I know I have a room booked at the Fairfield Inn in March and it is currently running about $100 more a night than last September for the same type room. I keep checking to see if the rate go does so I can rebook it.

$70 to $80 a night for the Menage must have been a special. I%26#39;m not that impressed with the Menage, but it%26#39;s not an $70 a night place. They should be charging more per night than that.
