I have always wanted to camp in Big Sur. I have never been there and am a little overwhelmed by all the options and trying to find a good site. What are the best campgrounds in the area? What are the best ways to score a site. I would probably go offseason (Spring or Fall). Thanks!!!

4) Ventana Campground (open March-October) @ www.ventanawilderness.com

There are other camp sites located south of Big Sur along the Big Sur coast, as well, but they%26#39;re located miles from the village in remote locations.
