My daughter and I would like to visit the American Girl store at the Grove and possibly leave ';the boys'; behind at the hotel.
Does anyone know approximately the cost of a cab ride from the Universal Hilton to the Grove?

It probably will be more like $40 each way. Taxi meters dont run here the way they should and I take taxis all the time, but i always negotiate a price first as I dont trust the meters
Skip all that and just take the subway/red line from Universal to Hollywood Highland(one stop), walk out of the station and take the #780 (faster) or #217 bus from there to the Grove/Farmers Market
Trip will be less then 30 minutes each way (might be even faster) Subway will be $1.25, bus will be $1.25, so you will get back and forth(without freeway traffic or a shady taxi driver) for $10 together. Easy, right?
