Where to stay near Disneyland???

We are a group of five people consisting of three adults and two teenagers traveling to Disneyland in May. I need some expert advice on where to stay. I%26#39;ve been looking at suite hotels, namely the Residence Inn Maingate, Residence Inn Garden Grove, Portofino Inn and Suites and the Anabella Hotel since these all have 2 bedroom 2 bath suites, and some type of cooking set up. I want to be in walking distance of Disneyland, the Anaheim Gardenwalk, and Downtown Disney so we can avoid taking the shuttle if possible. I would prefer a hotel that serves a good complimentary breakfast, and a grocery store nearby to buy snacks would be nice too. We%26#39;re only staying for three days, so we don%26#39;t need anything too fancy, just clean and conveniently located. Among those that I have listed, which one is the best situated to be somewhat in the middle of everywhere we want to go? Or, if there is a better one altogether, please let me know!!! Thanks for the info.

Ok, the Residence Inn Maingate is RIGHT across the street from Anaheim GardenWalk, and about a 1 mile walk to the Disneyland Resort.

They offer a full, Hot, freshly cooked Breakfast daily. (Plus dinners on selected days)

The problem is the Grocery Store, but there are none in the Anaheim Resort Area. Your two best choices are to head west down Katella about a mile to a food4less (run by Kroger/Ralphs), or go to Haster (a block away from AGW) and go south down Haster to Chapman to a VONS (owned by Safeway).

So that is my recommendation.

I second Darkbeer%26#39;s advice. Residence Inn Maingate is just a short walk from both Disneyland and GardenWalk mall. for groceries, do follow Darkbeer%26#39;s directions or have the Residence Inn staff shop for you. Its a service only Residence Inns provide. Have fun!
