For the evening, any lovely themed restaurants (not the typical Planet Hollywoods)? Any oriental restaurants where you sit and eat on cushions etc. Looking for something different.

What ideas do you have on how to spend the day it self?

Any ideas for Breakfast/lunch? Some activity for the afternoon, dinner for the evening and something to interest a 17th year old - something to remember for years to come. Ideally, something you would not find in London.

For a one-of-a-kind dining experience, consider Dar Maghreb (a Morrocan restaurant in Hollywood). You eat with your fingers out of large, shared dishes while veiled belly dancers dance among you and you put tips in the flaps of their very tiny costumes.

Agree, we need a little more information, especially on where you are staying as we could give you recomendations on things to do for a great day in L.A. which we might like but could be of no interest to your 17 y.o

We will definitely be staying in Los Angeles not sure where exactly yet. Still looking!

My boy is 17 and is fun. The only sports he%26#39;s into is basketball and american football.

We will be visiting Venice Beach at some point.

Will be there the beginning of June.
