Been planning our first trip to Napa for several weeks. Weathers been sunny and 70%26#39;s for the last two weeks. We go next week, raining and 50%26#39;s is forecast. Is their still plenty to do (tours, etc.) if it is cold and rainy or should we postpone?
RainThe local Napa/Sonoma forecast for next wk. is for some showers (not rain) mixed with clouds and sunshine. I wouldn%26#39;t worry about spending days in the rain--that%26#39;s unlikely to occur this time of yr. Rain clouds bring the most gorgeous skies and a little rain will keep the fields green and the wildflowers flourishing. Tours go on regardless of the weather and for all but the most delicate, nothing will be disrupted. I wouldn%26#39;t be surprised if the ';chance of showers'; disappears by next wk., but even if it doesn%26#39;t, no need to change your plans. Also, day temp%26#39;s are more likely to be in the 60%26#39;s rather than the 50%26#39;s. Just bring a jacket or sweater and you%26#39;ll be fine.
RainNO, NO, don%26#39;t cancel. As Forestvillian says, in April we may have a few showers, but I wouldn%26#39;t call it rain. Besides, those forecasts have been unreliable. There is a San Francisco radio weatherman who goes bananas predicting dire weather and he is usually very wrong %26lt;grin%26gt;
This is the very best time of year to visit the Napa/Sonoma wine country while the hills are still green.
