Where else to stay other than curry village

Hello,

We are a family of 4 travelling through Yosemite Park from Furnace creek to San Francisco. We are coming from Australia and have just had our curry village accommodation cancelled. Looking for advice on where else to stay where we can still see the park easily??

www.yosemitepark.com is the official reservation service for Yosemite lodging, you might try the ';cancellation dance.'; There is Yosemite Lodge, the Ahwahnee, Wawona for inside the park, all at different price ranges. Depending on the time of year you are traveling there are also the tent cabins at Tuolumne Meadows

Where else to stay other than curry village

After waiting for 1 and a half hours on hold (calling from australia) I was told my accommodation had not been cancelled and that it was only log cabins that had been affected. As we booked a tent cabin we are ok. If anyone else has been caught with this give yosemite a call to confirm situation, Lee vining still had some availability on expedia.

It lists all the websites for local accommodations, as well as a description of different choices and where they are located. Many of these lodgings wouldn%26#39;t show up on a regular travel website like Expedia, since they are often smaller or non-chain type of places. So I would definitely start by checking out that link.

I can confirm the previous post by Macantt that no tent cabin reservations have been cancelled. Call them to check on the status of your reservation before looking into alternative accomodations.

Do you know if it is all cabins that have been cancelled?

We are going to stay at a cabin with bath from Thursday next week and have NOT received information about a cancellation?

I am now worried that we will get there and be turned away...

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

The only way to find out for sure is to call them. I do not know if they are closing all of the cabins, but I do know that the closures do not include tent cabins.
