Tenderloin - 21 Club?

Is it pretty safe to stroll down and have a few beers at the 21 club and make it out alive? It looks like an interesting place to check out from what I%26#39;ve been reading, just don%26#39;t want to get mugged.

Thanks,

Sknyppy

Tenderloin - 21 Club?

It%26#39;s in the first block off Market so I think you%26#39;ll survive. Normal urban survival rules should be in effect.

the most important thing is if you leave intoxicated, hail a cab on Market to take you where you%26#39;ve got to be -- it%26#39;s worth the money to be whisked away from a seedy scene

%26gt;%26gt;if you leave intoxicated, hail a cab%26lt;%26lt;

basic survival skill just about anywhere

You really couldn%26#39;t pick any worst block of the %26#39;Loin, especially at night. Not an area I would recommend to tourists since I%26#39;d avoid it myself. It definitely won%26#39;t be like Myrtle Beach.

Are you really coming to San Francisco, with all the other entertainment and night life options it has to offer, to hang out in the heart of the Tenderloin? If it%26#39;s a few beers you want, there are other places. If it%26#39;s trouble you%26#39;re looking for, why spend hundreds of dollars to come all the way across the country? Can%26#39;t you get plastered, mugged, %26amp; left unconscious in the street in Myrtle Beach?

I say hit it up if you%26#39;re really wanting to. Not that I try to compare intersections of the loin, but I%26#39;d say it%26#39;s a tad better than others. You%26#39;ll for sure see some sketchy people outisde; but it is only a block from market and right there is the warfield. I%26#39;ve never had a problem leaving there after midnight. But as everyone else said, be smart and aware of your surroundings (just like everywhere else in a major city).

Agree w/ bigtedshred. It%26#39;s far from the worst place in the Tenderloin. Farmer Brown is right near there as was Original Joe%26#39;s :-(.
