White Chief Mtn. lodge, Fish Camp

Anyone stayed here, need to know if it is clean, decent place. Have reservations for end of May.

I stopped by 2 years ago and looked around. The rooms we were shown were not clean. The employee showing us around picked up an empty soda can that had been left in a room on top of a table. If housekeeping missed that, what else did they miss?

The setting was beautiful, but the Lodge was very run down. I had heard that it had closed down, so perhaps it has been bought and improved. At any rate, enjoy your vacation!

I canceled my reservation and am going to stay at Oakhurst lodge instead. Is this an okay choice?

From what I know, it is a well run, clean hotel. It is in the center of Oakhurst, so you won%26#39;t have the mountain feel tht you would in Fish Camp, but you will have all the amenities within walking distance.
