Can anyone suggest a great Mexican take out/restaurant in Santa Monica, please?

I like Don Antonio%26#39;s on Pico. It%26#39;s really just outside of Santa Monica (around Pico %26amp; Bundy). If you%26#39;re in Santa Monica without a car, it%26#39;s too far to walk. If you have a car it%26#39;s about a 10 minute ride from the beach.

Perfect, we%26#39;re staying near Pico in Santa Monica so we shouldn%26#39;t have a hard time finding the place! Can we also ';dine in'; or is this place just a take out?

Thank you! We love Mexican food but, here in Canada, it%26#39;s just not the same.

Any places in Malibu that anyone would suggest? I have read good things about Howdy%26#39;s and Casa Escobar.

If you%26#39;re staying on Pico, absolutely go to Lare%26#39;s. It%26#39;s the best in the area. Don Antonio%26#39;s is only so-so, and of the greasy mexican variety.

For take out, the best in the city is Taco%26#39;s Por Favor (literally is on all top 10 lists), and you can also eat there. Olympic and 14th.

For more upscale and great mexican, go to La Serenata di Girabaldi on 4th. Across the street is the famous Border Grill, also worth a try. Both places have the best margaritas around.

Lot%26#39;s of choices, thank you! Tried the Border last year. Great food but so loud and so busy. We felt like it was more of a fast food restaurant. I think they had us out of there in just under and hour. And by the way yogachick, I did have 2 margaritas! Very, very tasty indeed!
