My sisters, mom, and I are looking to stay at a B and B during the summer. We are trying to choose between les petites Maisons, Beltane Ranch, and Cooperage Inn. Anybody able to compare the three or some two therein?
thanks,
marie

The antique and art filled, historic 2-suite Cooperage is located just a half block from the Sonoma Plaza, so you鈥檒l be able to walk to cafes/restaurants, tasting rooms, shops, galleries, and historical sites. The larger suite has a full kitchen, too. I%26#39;m assuming you%26#39;ll need to book both rooms to accommodate your group, so if you want to stay at the Cooperage, be sure to make reserv%26#39;s as quickly as possible.
Charming Les Petites Maisons is about a mile east of the Plaza on E. Napa St. and Eighth St. Their 4 guest cottages each possess a kitchenette so you%26#39;ll be able to prepare and eat some meals there if you wish. There%26#39;s also a barbeque area, outdoor firepit area and gardens. Unless all of you love to walk, you%26#39;ll need to make a short drive to most places of interest.
Beltane Ranch is a lovely B%26amp;B located in the Glen Ellen area, about 20 min. north of Sonoma town, and the inn is surrounded by rural acreage with vineyards, oak trees and mountain backdrop. If your family wants a quieter, more private getaway to relax in, this would be the place to choose. Altho%26#39; there are many great dining choices and wineries in the area, you would definitely need to drive to get to them.
A number of factors will come into play as you try to make a choice of lodging. Since you%26#39;ll need multiple rooms, you can check on rates for the combination of rooms/cottages offered at each place. You%26#39;ll also need to figure out whether you want the convenience of walking to dining, wine tasting, shopping, etc. (The Cooperage offers that). If a natural setting is more important and you want a beautiful, rural location, then Beltane Ranch would be an excellent choice. The cottages at Les Petites Maisons offer some very nice practical amenities and are a good value. Be sure to read the recent reviews of each and I think that will help you make up your mind.

I have always thought that Beltane Ranch looked like a very nice place to stay, it would be fun to be right in the center of the vineyards and I love the large front wrap-around porch at this property. :)
Forestvillian gave a perfect description of all three sites. It really will come down to what type of beds/rooms you will need. The only thing to add is that the Cooperage is on the second floor if that is a consideration, but very lovely. Owned by an artist who has her studio downstairs of the historic cooperage (where they used to produce wine barrels), it is packed with great furniture and artistic touches.
Les Petite is very sweet!
The Beltane has a wonderful %26#39;un plugged%26#39; feel - I don%26#39;t think they even have a computer. They are an actual farm as well as being surrounded by protected land and vineyards.
Great choices! Have Fun!
