Trying to squeeze so much into 2 days, is it possible to do the following:
San Diego Zoo 9am to 2pm
How would we get to Seaworld? How long would it take? I am guessing approx 30 mins?
Seaworld 2:30pm to 7:30pm
It will be 29th March, so hopefully the crowds aren%26#39;t too bad?
Thanks
Can u do Seaworld and the Zoo in 1 day?
I would recommend picking either the Zoo or Sea World and having a good go at it. If you were here in our summer time, both parks have extended hours and then I think it would be practical but given closing of 5P your time is limited.
I am a huge fan of the Zoo. You have some really great exhibits. The plant collection is supposedly more valuable than the animal collection. You should also know that the zoo is int he middle of Balboa Park. This park dates back to the Naturalist movement of the late 1800s. At the time San Diego was a very small town. The park hosted two worlds fairs. The buildings in the park are relics of those days (think Expo 88!). You would have a great time if you did the Zoo until just after mid-day and then spent a couple hours walking in the rest of the park.
Sea World also has many highly regarded exhibits: Shamu shows, breakfast with the dolphins etc.
But hard to do both in one day.

You might be able to fit both in BUT our city is more than animal/theme parks. Do you want to see animals or do you want to visit San Diego and see the city?
Only you guys can decide the type of visit you want.
I tend to agree with tootall that you should spend some time in Balboa Park. Even if you don%26#39;t like museums of any sort, there are gardens and since it is a Sunday there is also outdoor international food and entertainment at the international cottages area. I think the park and the harbor are the hearts of the city. www.balboapark.org
I don%26#39;t remember if I have already mentioned the great hop on hop off bus tour but that might be good for you guys. See:www.trolleytours.com
As to your first question about getting to SeaWorld from the park, IF you take a taxi it should be about a 20min. drive. I am not sure of the bus route from the zoo but from downtown you%26#39;d first take our lightrail to the Old Town station and transfer to a bus.
