Four Seasons Aviara Hotel vs Residence Club

Does anyone know how close the timeshare portion of the resort is to the hotel? We are planning to travel with 2 other couples who will be staying at the hotel. If we stay in the Residence club, will we be totally out of the loop?

I am actually staying at the residence club right now. -but, ask to stay in the summits -very important if you want to be able to walk to the hotel. There are two sections of the residence (soon to be three) and the meadows is where they tried to put my husband and i. it is currently under construction and the rooms have views of the pool (lots of kids around). so, we investigated and asked to be moved to the summits area. -we were so happy to be moved because we walk to the hotel once or twice a day for activities, games, spa, etc... it is a large resort and the hotel is beautiful. we are staying in osprey terrace but there is a section just below us even closer to the resort with better views.

We just stayed at the Meadows with our 2 kids in a 1br suite (1300 sq ft). We were there with another family with 3 kids in an adjoining 1br.

The Meadows is more family oriented and worked very well for us. It has its own pool and poolside grill which was used every single day whether we went to legoland/seaworld or stayed in.

We went up to the main hotel a few times by shuttle bus which works great. We never waited more than 4 min and it was often waiting for us out front.

We went up for spa service as well as the restaurant/game room. The Spa was fine but in our opinion the California Grill was a disaster with bad food, bad service that was all very overpriced. We ate only once at the main hotel. The game room was fine but the kids enjoyed the pool much better and we made it there only once. The local restaurants within a 10 min drive were plentiful and excellent. Overall the isolation of the Meadows from the hotel made it more quiet and relaxing. Also having a full kitchen is great for breakfast with kids. Ofcourse thats just us and for people who want room service that was also fully available at the Meadows.
