My husband and I are planning the second half of our California trip to San Francisco, the first half in Disneyland. Last time we went to the Wharf, Alcatraz, Lombard Street, Ghiradelli, The Ferry Building, and Golden Gate Park. We will be staying at the Chancellor in Union Square. What are some suggestions of things to do now that we have a very energetic toddler and not a stroller bound babe?
March trip with a two and a half year old
Hi temby77 -
One suggestion I have for your two and a half year old is the Bay Area Discovery Museum at Fort Baker in Sausalito. It is very close to the Sausalito end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Check out the website at www.badm.org. It is a wonderful place for children 6 mos. to 8 years old. It would be a great place for one of your outings.
Have fun.

I second AnnMV%26#39;s vote for the Discovery museum and I%26#39;ll add on The Randall Museum (http://www.randallmuseum.org/)
and the Exploratorium (http://www.exploratorium.edu/)
Have fun!
Thanks so much for these ideas! The BADM looks great- she should be enthralled! The Exploratorium is one thing that we missed last time so we will definitely check it out this time. Thanks again!
If you still have daylight after the Exploratorium, check out nearby Crissy Fields. It%26#39;s a great spot to walk and stick your toes in the bay while watching the kids and dogs running around having fun. On a clear day, the views include the GG Bridge, Sausalito, Alcatraz, downtown SF and parts of the Presidio.
Also a visit to Pier 39 to ride the Carousel and say Hi to the Sea Lions on your way to the Aquarium by the Bay.
When are you coming? I ask since most of my suggestions are outside ones..
And, easy to reach on foot (from Union Square, anyway) is Zeum at Yerba Buena Gardens
