Hello,
A few friends and I are planning a 5-6 day road trip from Las Vegas. Here%26#39;s where it gets tricky. We all would like to see the Grand Canyon - and two people have to fly out of San Francisco 2.5 days after we leave Las Vegas.
After this the rest of us are departing from Los Angeles 2 days after those leaving San Fran.
One person in the group has been to LA but has never been to San Fran and another has been to San Fran but not LA, so clearly we have some differing opinions as to what the priority is.
Can anybody suggest any itineraries for this trip - assuming that we%26#39;ll be driving from the Grand Canyon straight through to San Francisco, and then a few days later driving a bit of the Pacific Highway to LA. Ideally we%26#39;d like to have 1.5days in San Fran and 1.5 days in LA.
I would really appreciate any suggestions!!!!
Thanks!!

Is your intention to spend 5-6 days traveling, including a visit to the Grand Canyon, in addition to any time spent in Las Vegas? Or does the 5-6 days include time in Las Vegas?
Please note that the Grand Canyon is in the opposite direction from California, and you%26#39;ll have to choose either to visit it or the California Coast. You won%26#39;t have time to do both unless your intention is to drive everywhere without stopping along the way.
Another important question: When will you be taking the trip? The drive between Las Vegas and San Francisco differs greatly depending upon season.
If you%26#39;re disappointed you%26#39;ll miss the Grand Canyon, you should be happy to know focusing on California will provide you with the opportunity to see Yosemite. Both national parks are quite spectacular.
Urgent Road Trip Help Needed Please!!!The Grand Canyon is about 5 hours driving time from LV - in the opposite direction of SF. You%26#39;d have to drive there, stay overnight, then begin your drive to SF the next morning.
Try using Mapquest or Googlemaps to help get an idea of the distances and driving times.
